RRCA Certified Running Coach & Physical Therapist

Dr. Christopher Herbs PT, DPT is a Boston-based physical therapist who specializes in working with runners. He is a graduate of Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, where he earned his doctorate in physical therapy after completing his bachelors in biology at the State University of New York College at Oneonta. Chris currently manages the South Boston location of Boston Physical Therapy & Wellness. He is full body dry needling certified and able to offer this to his patients at the clinic.

Chris is a veteran runner with over 15 years of experience in the sport. After competing in cross country and track in high school, Chris competed as an unattached athlete in NCAA meets as well as at the club level in both college and graduate school. Chris also has extensive road racing experience in distances ranging from the road mile to the Boston Marathon. After completing his graduate studies in 2018, Chris earned his RRCA coaching certification and began privately coaching runners of all ability levels. Chris uses this athletic and coaching experience in addition to his academic background to inform his practice while serving runners as a physical therapist.

Chris moved to Boston in 2018 after graduate school, but is originally from Clifton Park, New York. In his free time, Chris enjoys running with the Tracksmith team in Boston, golfing, watching the Bruins, and spending time with family and friends both back in New York and in Boston.
